INKtober Day 8: MY Flying Eye

My submission for INKtober Day 8 is a design I’ve been playing with for a while… my interpretation of the Flying Eye symbol.

Though he didn’t create the symbol, legendary artist and pinstriper Kenneth Howard, aka Von Dutch, made the Flying Eye “his” with the graphic he created.

This is my version of the Flying Eye. The wings and feathers are made out of pinstripers’ paint brushes.

I have a couple earlier versions that I painted on a toilet seat lid and a skateboard deck for the Rat Fink Reunion which took place back in June in Manti, Utah.

The toilet seat was a part of the charity auction at the Rat Fink Reunion car show.

The skateboard deck was my "artists's choice" award, which was presented to the vehicle I picked as my favorite at the Rat Fink Reunion car show.
